Logo Design
Chris Cole is a men's fashion brand, curated for men of color. Made to compete with other notable apparel brands like Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Brooks Brothers, and Vineyard Vines, the brand provides a sleek, elevated look while centering itself around culture and identity.
Logo Concept
The logo design was created to be simplistic and memorable. Similar to the Coco Chanel logo, it combines the two "C's" within the initials to create a easily identifiable icon, that also trains the audiences brain to associate it with other elevated brands. It's size and shape makes it functional for clothing and can be scaled down to utilize on tags and embroidered polos. The combo mark combines the icon above with a modern sans serif typeface that is extended to add to the elevated aesthetic. Knowing that the brand's target audience is men of color between the ages of 25-35, I showed a group of my male friends a series of logos I designed for this brand concept, and this logo resonated with them the most.
